The Choirmaster of the XXXII Edition

We are pleased to announce that the choirmaster who will lead the voices on stage at the XXXII edition of the Concorso 2 Agosto will be Maestro Claudio Marino Moretti.

With a distinguished career in opera and choral conducting, Maestro Claudio Marino Moretti has worked with some of the most renowned conductors on the international scene, including Luisi, Noseda, Chung, Gardiner, Prêtre and Abbado. His artistic path has brought him to collaborate with leading Italian opera houses such as the Teatro Regio di Torino, Teatro La Fenice and the Fondazione Teatro Carlo Felice, where he currently serves as Chorus Master.

From 1 July 2026, he will become Choirmaster of the Teatro Comunale di Bologna, whose choir will perform during the final concert of the Competition.
